AZEFT Training Scholarships
AZEFT is about promoting healthy relationships and connection. Our work is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a research based model that provides a map for healing and closeness. EFT is an attachment model that was developed by Sue Johnson as a way to address relational distress. With three decades of research and proven outcomes, EFT is a model that is grounded in heart.
As part of our commitment to anti-racism, diversity, and inclusivity, the AZEFT Board has taken on the responsibility of providing training and support for the growth of our local therapists and therapists-in-training in their EFT work. We pride ourselves on providing a learning context that is supportive and caring, but also rigorous and powerful. We are excited to offer this scholarship program.
About the Scholarships
We, as both Board and Arizona community members, recognize that diversity benefits and enriches the educational experiences of all students and trainers. We also recognize that some of our vulnerabilities that come from living a life of stigma related to prejudice, poverty, or power inequalities can be a barrier in our learning opportunities.
The goals of the Diversity and Inclusivity Scholarships are:
We offer scholarships to both Arizona-licensed mental health professionals AND Arizona residents enrolled in a Masters- or Doctoral-level clinical graduate program (students). Please review each section for a complete description of the scholarships, eligibility criteria, and application process for each scholarship.
The scholarships for professionals are listed first, and the scholarships for students are listed second.
