As we learn of the verdict in the case of George Floyd's murder amidst ongoing news reports of more Black and Brown lives unnecessarily and unfairly lost at the hands of police violence, we want to acknowledge the pain, grief, and anger that so many members of our community ~ and the clients we serve ~ are grappling with right now. As humans and professionals who care about relationships, emotional safety, and human vulnerability, these tragic events violate everything we know about what it means to LOVE one another.
As Board members who care about each and every one of you, know we stand by your side offering compassion and support. And we remain steadfast in our commitment to anti-racism and diversity work, so that we can continue to grow in our abilities to be the most inclusive, accepting, and loving organization we can possibly be.
